I find it more than a tad odd that there is such a ruckus about the NDAA & AUMF in the US when it’s quite obvious that it really wont affect Americans. Well at least not Americans in the current (or future?) administrations nor the intelligence and military community.

Watching Secretary of State John Kerry and Hillary Clinton before him pledge and allocate funds and equipment to the Syrian opposition (and Libyan before them) knowing full well a majority of them are actually Al Qaeda, the time of feigned ignorance is long gone and so is the labeling of part of the opposition, especially since it’s the most successful military branch of the opposition Jabhat al Nusra (Syrian Al Qaeda).

One may wonder how that works, what is the thought process behind it and who made the decision to completely disregard the last decades of “War on Terror” and completely turn coat and do something that apparently is illegal in the entrie western world because of the say so of the United States…

So do we still kill Jihadist Al Qaeda when ever they rear their ugly anti-democratic heads or do we support them now?

Someone has to ask as no one except the Syrians seems to actually react to this officially…
